This year at Valentine's Day, many people will be sending out cards to their loved ones. People from all over the world in fact send millions upon millions of such cards to their loved ones every single year. But recently, there has been a revolution in the concept of Valentine's Day cards. People are sending beautiful Valentine ecards instead. But what is an e-card anyway and why would you use one?
Well basically an e-card is a card that you cans send to anyone who you would send a regular card to. They arrived via e-mail and can be quite beautiful. Valentine's ecards are actually quite popular this year. In order to send an ecard, all you need to do is to find one of the thousands of sites that will offer to send one for you and then choose whom you wish to send it to. You can choose to personalize them in any way you like, sometimes with music or even video. You could even send out some cards using video you create. That would make a really beautiful Valentine ecard since it's so personal. Once you send the card, it's really easy for the person to open it also. Usually, there will be a customized link to your card where the person can open it and see what you had to say.
As I said, there are literally thousands of choices if you want to send a beautiful valentine ecard. In fact, many sites will let you almost completely customize the card, including not just pictures or words, but even something be said. You could say "I love you," to your girlfriend online. It might be easier than in person.
Some sites which offer to allow you to send Valentine's Day e-cards will charge you for the privelege while others are free. Typically, if you send an e-card through a free site, there will be some kind of advertising on the page when you send the card. And if you do that, not matter how beautiful your Valentine ecard is, it will simply not be taken well. Nobody wants to hear that they are so lovely and wonderful from Campbell's Soup. They want to hear it from the person they love and wish to spend their lives with.
In addition, it's important to make sure you personalize your ecard very well and try to make it look unique. They are so easy to send otherwise that many people will think you didn't really care about the holiday. So send a beautiful Valentine ecard. Just make sure you do it right.

There's no such custom in India. This is an alien concept, gaining popularity with the youngsters. But there are some self-styled political parties whose workers go on rampage destroying shops selling Valentine's merchandise, beating college students found celebrating it in any way...all in the name of preserving Indian Culture!
Even though I feel its not necessary to have a day reserved for love...love should be celebrated each and every day till death...I'm not against it either! Better to spread love and sweetness than hatred and bitterness!
