This can be attributed to the fact that there are a number of websites on finding the right gift for your girlfriend or wife on valentines day but considerably lesser help when it comes to a woman wanting to buy the right valentines day present for her husband. Shopping for one's husband can be really difficult.
Most women overlook the gift of flowers when it comes to giving their husbands a gift on Valentines Day. Usually men give women flowers on this day and women do not even consider this as an option. Nevertheless flowers are a great gift, irrespective of who is giving it to whom. Men rarely ever receive flowers so it is more likely that they will really appreciate this simple valentine gift from their wives on this day.
Another Valentines Day Gift Idea is to give your husband something that reflects his hobbies and personal interests. For instance, you could buy him tickets to his favorite game or buy him a piece of memorabilia. If your husband has a hobby like fishing, you could buy him something related to that such as fishing reel and other related accessories. Although such gifts do not seem romantic and many women do not consider gifting these items on Valentines Day, they go to show how much you care about your husband's hobbies and how well you know him. These are important things when you love somebody and so gifting accordingly will be truly appreciated.
Another terrific valentine gift a woman can give her husband is a homemade dinner on Valentines Day. Because all women cook almost every night, doing the same thing on Valentines Day does not sound appealing to most of them as it sounds very ordinary. But one can easily transform an everyday dinner into a romantic candlelit dinner by making a few changes in the menu and enhancing the ambience. If you can make a special dinner, then it will make an excellent Valentines Day gift. You could spend a little more time on the preparation of the meal, after which you can relax and enjoy a romantic dinner with your husband.
If you cant think of anything to give your husband on the 14th of February, you could even gift him some clothing. This is a terrific idea if your husband rarely shops for clothing like most men. He may even be wearing clothes back from his college and high school days. Try to buy clothes that your husband would not normally own, such as a pair of stylish jeans, or a smart pair of shoes. This will most probably make him happy, as now he will have a few more items of clothing to choose from but without having gone through the hassle of shopping for it himself.
A massage gift certificate is another terrific gift idea on the 14th of February, although a little unusual. Usually men are the ones who gift women such things, and not the other way around, but there is no reason why it should not be the woman giving her husband this. Men enjoy pampering as much as women and a massage gift certificate will not fail to go unappreciated. However, it is best if you give the gift certificate in addition to scheduling his appointment for more than one reason. First, scheduling will ensure that your husband does not forget the gift. Also, men might find it awkward to schedule their own appointment as they would never have done this sort of thing before and may be shy trying it out for the first time.

My husband is a marine and is serving in Iraq on our first Valentines Day together and he won't be home til January 2009. I need some romantic ideas of what I can get/do for him to let him know that he means the world to me. We are expecting our first baby girl in May so sexy body pics are out.. LOL..
