Ever wonder why we give flowers as a gift? Or why flowers symbolize things various different? Well, the act of giving flowers dates back to prehistoric times and evidence of flowers with a symbolic meaning may be found in Egyptian inscriptions and written Chinese and the Greek and Roman mythology. The fascinating story behind the language of flowers was developed over hundreds of years.
During the Middle East, severe restrictions were placed on the court and this led to the exchange flowers to grow among couples, like flowers that symbolizes gave different messages, allowing couples to express themselves in private without anyone else or hearing.
Flower meanings rose through the 1600s and became so refined that even military messages can be sent in a safe gift of flowers.
