Custom greeting cards are a good way of staying connected with friends, acquaintances, family, relatives, loved ones and even customers. They express a wide range of feelings from romance, gratitude, love, happiness, sentimental, humor, to grief. Lots of companies grab the benefits of greeting card printing, to give out custom greeting cards to their customers, just to make them feel valued.
If you are making your own original greeting card or looking for a guide template, it is handy to keep in mind the different components of a greeting card.
The Front cover As the name suggests, it is the first item that would be seen by your viewer. This is where you begin your message and set the mood you want your reader to be in. If it is a humorous card, the start of the joke is placed here and the punch line is delivered inside the card. If it is a romantic card, you may want to put the longer and more personal message inside, while setting the tone at the front cover of the card.
The Inside of the Card Usually, greeting cards place their generic message on the right page of the inside cover. You may opt to leave the inside of the card blank, and personally hand write your letter. This would be more intimate. Certainly, you can use both handwritten and generic messages for the inside of the cover.
The Back Cover At the back cover, you can find the sender’s name, mailing address, and other contact information. If the sender is a company, this would be the best place to boast your company’s logo and tag line. The contact information of the business could also be placed here. Also, you may opt to put nothing on this page, and leave it blank.
Other Elements These are the components of the greeting card which are optional. Some examples of these may consist of scents, beads, pop-ups, sounds, lace or fine paper, pockets, and other features. If you want to give your custom greeting card a 3D look, pop-ups are perfect for this. It would add fun and entertainment to your card, plus it is easy to make. Cards with sounds are great for special holidays like birthdays, Christmas, or Valentine’s Day.
Of course, you should not be limited by these factors. You can make your own designs, use different materials and package them in whatever way you want.
Does anyone know where I can find free templates to make a pop-up card with a birthday theme?
It is my first birthday and my boyfriend hates store bought cards. I gave him one for Christmas and Valentine's Day and they were perfect. I try to make reality out of me this time. The idea of the inside of the card corresponds to my idea forward, but I can not understand exactly how it was done. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=vl_other_1&listing_id=20841098 Can anyone help me find a free model or understand all this?
To make this card, not exactly. The vortex is simply cut and connected to the card in two places. You may be able to understand. I made some pop-up cards. But my library has a couple of great pop-up books or 3D-searching book, card making or section of handmade paper.
