Plot
The film is spending several stories of the heart that occur during a Valentine's Day.
An army officer on leave named Kate (Julia Roberts) is a passenger on a flight from Iraq to Los Angeles where she meets Holden (Bradley Cooper), a gay man whose the lover is a football player in the closet (Eric Dane). The owner of a florist, Reed (Ashton Kutcher) has proposed to his girlfriend, Morley (Jessica Alba), while learning their best friend, Julia (Jennifer Garner) has a boyfriend named Harrison (Patrick Dempsey) who happens to be married. An assistant named Liz (Anne Hathaway) working with the agency's most talented of the town and dating mailroom assistant, Jason (Topher Grace). Julia's mother, Estelle (Shirley MacLaine) is a happy retirement, which should be a matter of long standing with her husband, Edgar (Hector Elizondo). Her granddaughter (Emma Roberts) will have sex with her boyfriend in high school, where Tyler Harrington (Taylor Lautner) and Samantha Kenny (Taylor Swift) are young athletes who are deeply in love. Meanwhile, a publicist named Kara (Jessica Biel) is apparently undated work as Valentine's Day to your boss, Kelvin Briggs (Jamie Foxx), with whom she falls love.
