Valentine Day Trivial

Personalized cufflinks have been in style for as long as anyone can remember. In olden days, those who are rich enough to afford it often commission jewelry makers to craft for them personalized cufflinks. Such personalized cufflinks often depict family crests or family seals and are picked out with jewels. A person can display wealth and influence just by wearing ostentatious personalized cufflinks.

Today, the use of personalized cufflinks is no longer limited to the wealthy and the powerful. Anyone can wear cufflinks if they want to, whenever it suits them. And while the popularity of using cufflinks have waxed and waned over the seasons, it has never really been completely gone.

To some people, personalized cufflinks are merely a trivial piece of accessory. Why wear cufflinks when buttons and buttonholes are more convenient? But any person with a sense of style, be it a man or a woman, knows that wearing cufflinks, especially personalized cufflinks can subtly transform an ordinary suit to an elegant and classy outfit.

A man’s suit or tuxedo, or even a woman’s pantsuit, does not allow much for variation in cut or style, unlike a woman’s dress. The cut is always simple and streamlined when it comes to suits. Wearing personalized cufflinks adds a tiny touch of fun and frivolity in such an austere outfit, but without overdoing it. Personalized cufflinks work the same way as a tie or a scarf does to a suit – it puts in a little bit of flair.

Personalized cufflinks also tell a lot about the person wearing them. It is a statement that the wearer makes to say that he or she cares a lot about how he or she looks and wants to appear not just presentable but elegant all the time. We are using the pronoun “she” because even women wear cufflinks nowadays.

Another thing that wearing personalized cufflinks does is to declare the interests and affiliations of the person wearing them. There are so many styles of cufflinks nowadays and so many ways of customizing them. A person who is a fan of a particular sports or sports team can show the world that he or she is a fan by putting the logo of the team on his or her cufflinks. If a person belongs to a particular profession, he or she can say so with his or her cufflinks – weighing scales for lawyers, the Rx symbol for doctors, computer chips for the techies. It is also easy to tell what a person’s hobbies and pastimes are just by looking at cufflinks. A person who loves to gamble may wear personalized cufflinks depicting a pair of dice or one of the four suits of cards. A person who adores sailing may have a picture of his or her sailboat on his or her cufflinks.

Personalized cufflinks also give life to the saying “Wearing one’s heart in one’s sleeve.” A person can show the world just who he or she cares for through personalized cufflinks. The cufflinks could show a picture of the wearer’s spouse or significant other, the wearer’s children, parents or siblings, or friends.

A great way of commemorating a significant event or holiday is by giving personalized cufflinks. It is common for grooms to give cufflinks as gifts to the best man and groomsmen on the day of the wedding. Other occasions where cufflinks are often given as gifts or souvenirs are the birth of a new child, Father’s Day, Valentine’s Day, and just about everything else.

Personalized cufflinks are not trivial accessories. They make a suit more elegant and they convey a statement that the wearer wants to make for him- or herself. They are also perfect gifts for any occasion.

is she thinking about me as well or she is just trying to be nice to me?

I'm in love with a friend. I am here in Toronto and she is a student in Los Angeles. I haven't seen here for 6 months. we've been sending emails and I have told her about my feelings and my idea about being together, she laughed and said she should take care of some trivial things first. she never said NO to me. she never said yes either! I am sending her some flowers on valentine's day. I haven't been on a date with anybody since I found out that I love her.
does she think about me as well, or she just want to be nice to me?
