How much is too much for Valentine's Day?
For Valentine's day I bought my girlfriend tickets to see the Broadway musical Wicked, which she knows about and obviously I plan to take her out to dinner, flowers candy, you know, smaller items. She also mentioned about wanting a $200 pair of shoes for Valentine's Day which I said no to because I don't really think people do that for Valentine's Day. She always gets nice gifts for me too but its our 2nd Valentine's day and I thought this was excessive, am I wrong?
No, she is out of order, that sort of gift is extortionate and is just trying to play on your emotions. You have a great outing planned, and hopefully you will both have a good time. Just as a thought, maybe worth having a word with one of her girlfriends to check she has not got you an expensive gift and this is her way of pre-empting you.
But to be honest, I totally agree with the other answers, it shouldn;t be about the cost, and what you have planned is thoughtful and lovely, and would make most girls' hearts go ba-ba-boom!
