Before you start worrying about the details, stop and think about what the Christmas holidays ideal means for you. It does not follow with any neighbor. He is not doing things to your family when you were young. And it is absolutely not trying to be someone they are not.
So now I have permission to move from the concept of stress. Once you make the guest list, providing a period of four weeks for "to do" list with the shopping list of food and wine.
You can do it faster, but if you give yourself several weeks to prepare, the task is less daunting and more fun in the process. Plan a meeting for you as the hostess actually. That means no complicated menu if you're stuck in the kitchen.
You not the host, caterer, and your friends want to spend time with you. Whether you're hosting a dinner or an open house, choose foods that are easy to use self-management and - as in a crock pot or brazier.
Make sure your food choices are easy to handle. In an open house or cocktail, guests mingle and standing. We need to serve and eat with your hands and anything that requires a fork and knife to eat.
Some more than usually dresses in summer patio barbecue, so avoid messy foods. Save lasagna or steak dinner meeting. Even the Buffalo wings which work very well for a football match does not go well with dresses and sequins.
To avoid a smooth game, food trays scattered in various rooms, not only in the dining room. Add cheese and a few platters of sandwiches and desserts served in the lounge room family. To direct your guests to print small cards at each site with directions like this:
"Fabulous desserts await you in the room family. It's almost like a treasure hunt that keeps going and customers to find new discussion groups and more delicious.
For your part, you'll want to include Christmas many decorations. Choose a color and theme. This does not mean that the purchase was part of the store with the kitsch.
If you use a carpet Green, the center of the table or service area Holly red. Then repeat the branches of holly (artificial easier and safer) than the napkin rings. You can even make brownies with berry red green leaves, holly and flow of ice sold in grocery store bakery section. Small things that are repeated a color or a theme that guests are supposed to be scheduled months in advance!
Take lots of photos. The hostess needs to get a digital photo taken with a visitor or a group. This not only is a great memory of the game, but can be sent to each guest with a "thank you for coming to my party "card.
Or you can insert a picture in a decorative Christmas and give as a gift. Your guests will love this. After all, parties are to meet people you like and enjoy time with you have. Make holiday party this year is to remember.
