Valentine Day Luncheon Recipes

Cookies are perfect for any time of year. The holiday periods are especially popular among children. This recipe is very good to add to your files. They make a perfect heart for Valentine's Day, wedding showers, bridal luncheons, birthdays, mothers, etc. They are also ideal for Christmas trees, Santa Claus, stockings, etc. Easter bunnies and crosses, shamrocks, flags, ghosts, pumpkins, Cornocopias, etc. Whatever the occasion, this recipe works for you cookie. For any other type of cookie, try BAR DATE.
CUT-OUT COOKIES RECIPE
This recipe is from a local grocery gift Crisco 1990 brochure.
2 / 3 cup Butter Flavor Crisco
3 / 4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon + 1 tsp Tea Milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
2 cups flour all purpose
1 1 / 2 teaspoon baking powder
Salt 1 / 4 tsp Tea
Cream Crisco, sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl at medium speed of electric mixer until smooth. Beat the egg. Combine flour, baking powder pulp and salt. Stir the mixture with cream. Cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Roll half the mass at a time when the thickness of the surface to 1/8-inch flour. Cut into desired shape. Place cookies 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet greased not. Sprinkle with sugar and decorated with colored or clear gel when cooled. Bake at 375 degrees for 7 to 9 minutes. Cool slightly. Remove to wire rack.
Cookies Makes about 3 dozen medium size.

2 eggs
Milk 1 / 4 cup
1 cup flour
1 tsp tea baking powder
1 cup finely chopped walnuts
1 cup dates, finely chopped
of granulated sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl, mix well. Spread in a roll or a greased cookie sheet with edges. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes. Cool and cut into bars and roll in sugar.

Help! I need ideas for Valentine's Day / Lunch Reception Wedding!?
I'm getting married February 14 yup, the day Saint Valentine. It will only be a small ceremony for family members and close friends, about 25 to 30 people. I'm trying to find ideas luncehon for a menu served buffet style in my apartment. I already planned a deli tray is recommended, and I have a recipe for strawberries champagne punch. but otherwise I have no idea of salads? soups? otherwise. I have a friend who is vegetarian, so I want to make sure something is at his disposal, but also something that others do not frown frown on his face. I expected little dessert ... Tuxedo strawberries chocolate oreo truffles and chocolate wedding cake, then I agree with that. but I would like to help. Remember, it's Valentine's Day ... and yes, my wedding day ... be creative! thank you in advance!
It seems that strawberries are the problem! go with him ... salads are wonderful with fresh strawberries (van wonderful with balsamic vinegar). have a strawberry flavor for their wedding cakes. could put some strawberries on skewers and make centerpeices .. edible for tables or table. (Boquet think). favors as that could make boxes personized conversation hearts.
