There has never been a better time to make up for a forgotten wedding anniversary, birthday or special occasion than right now! Whilst it might seem that click convenience is triumphing over old fashioned romance, the right selection of flowers delivered at the right time can be a great way to say you've remembered.
Generally though online flower delivery is a fast & easy way to get the flowers you want to the place you need them to be. Online deliveries are trending up for all the right reasons. You can see the selections you want and quickly choose based on price and location. Normally if you place an order before 2pm the flowers will get there the same day. This will cost a bit more, but shopping around is absolutely at your disposal.
Online flower shops also enjoy a wider market, which means volume discounts and better prices for their customers. They have connections with many delivery services who can often deliver your order very fast, locally as well as internationally. Most online sites send your order to an approved local florist so arrangements may differ slightly. The point here is exceptional service within a competitive environment and if no-nonsense satisfaction guarantees are not met, move on!
Also remember to make allowances for busy periods. Even online florists and their downstream affiliates will find it hard to meet last minute deadlines just prior to Mother's Day and Valentines. Try and give the florists seven to ten days over these periods. Bear in mind what flowers you are sending and how long you would like them to last.
Flowers are really an emotional conduit so treat them as such. If you can find the flower bouquet that matches the feelings you are trying to express (a whole subject on its own) then your money has been well spent!
Valentine's Day Bust...?
Ok, I've been w/ my man for almost 8 years. He didn't get me anything for Valentine's Day, not a card, candy or even a "Happy Valentine's Day." In fact, he went to McDonald's today to get lunch, and there is a florist right there and he could've stopped in but he didn't. Why is he so inconsiderate? Oh, FYI, this isn't the first time he hasn't done anything either... 
It is possible that your significant other has deemed Singles Awareness Day (aka St. Valentines Day) a pretentious and media driven corporate holiday and he doen't wish to participate.
I could also take the Freudian approach to this question and answer you with some kind of neglecting-mother-munbo-jumbo, but the truth is, he probably has no sence of time and forgot. again...
