Valentine Day Experiences

Love may be in the air but to ensure a successful Valentines Day it's paramount that men and women alike express their feelings for each other in a suitable manner - ensuring that their loved ones really appreciate the thought that has gone into the selection of special Valentines Day Gifts.
To be on the same planet this Valentines day, some couples may need to make a pact to forget 'last minute presents' and do some serious thinking and preparation beforehand, otherwise they risk becoming a pair of 'star-crossed' lovers. Others may know instinctively the way to their lover's heart. Whichever category we fit into, we need to tune into our partner's likes and dislikes, allowing us to choose a Valentines Day gift they'll cherish forever.
Although it is the thought that counts, the right gift matters! Traditional presents such as a bouquet of red roses, luxurious chocolates or a bottle of her favourite perfume may be firm favourites. Nevertheless, even these tried and trusted love tokens can be given a new twist: roses can be swapped for a lovely everlasting heart-shaped trinket box; chocoholic lovers will enjoy savouring the sweetness of the moment with mini chocolate love-hearts; a favourite aftershave can be replaced with a pair of personalised cufflinks engraved with his initials or indeed with the excitement of a fulfilled life time's wish. How about driving his dream supercar for the day? So, why not spice things up this year by sampling some unusual and unique Valentines Day gifts for both sexes?
For the gourmet lover a luxury tea and wine hamper kit will certainly gown down a treat. If enjoying a romantic meal for two at a favourite restaurant, why not follow with either a West End show or a theatre trip for a memorable night out? This year, as well as many others, my cat will be my Valentine, and that is just fine with me. He came to me around this time a couple of months after my ex was taken away - we could never have had a pet with him here - and quickly filled an empty place in my heart.
You can find many ways to celebrate Valentines day if you look - I am just finding out how easy it is to hate, but how hard a thing to love, yourself. Make you your own Valentine - you are special, and you deserve to feel that way. This year I'm letting everyone that is special to me know that they are my Valentine.
