I need to know how to burn a dvd that i have already copied???

Ok I got this dvd burner as a gif for valentines day and I have mange to use nero that came with the burner and i dwnloaded a couple of things and I tried to make it to a dvd so i could watch it on our dvd player and al it will do is play n the computer can i get this to play on our dvd player??? also now it says when i try to do more movies it is not enough space on the disc and leads me to disk clean up I tried to clean it up and out but for some reason it wont let me add the other files to burn ......can someone HELP please.

Ok there is more than one question in here...First some explanations...DVD = play in DVD Players, contain movies, you can get these at blockbuster....DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD+/-R, DVD+/-RW = You can burn data or video to it. Next question: When you burn something to a writeable DVD-R, DVD+R,etc, unless you tell the program, Nero in your case, it will burn it once and that's it, it "closes" the burning session. To keep adding to the DVD-R later on, you would have to originally choose "create multi session disc" or something like that. This will let you burn more stuff to it. I am not an expert with Nero, so you will have to find that option. The DVD+/-RW, notice the RW in the name, these, are like a glorified floppy disks, you CAN keep adding data to it, erase the data and write it again. You can add to it until its full, then erase etc... It's a rewritable disc, however, not all DVD players will see it....Next question: When you burn files, no matter what kind, pictures, video clips, mp3's, documents, its all DATA. So in this case, you CAN'T view it on your DVD player. It's like putting in a Microsoft Office Word installation CD which containg music files as well, into your CD player and expect to hear music. It won't work. If you want to play, let's say, a movie clip that you have on your PC on your DVD, it gets more complicated. The video on your PC needs to be converted into a DVD playable format. Then that new DVD Playable video needs to be burned onto a DVD-R and you now have a DVD Movie/Video Disc. The Nero that came with your burner is probably the "lite" version and may not have that feature. So buy the full one.... Use the wizard. You choose something like "Make your own DVD-Video Disc"...it asks for the original clip on your pc, or wherever you have it, such as the memory stick off your digital camera (yes you can burn those videos you took of your vacation with the digital camera)..it does some converting with it...and then asks for a DVD-R to burn to and presto. Now, depending on the video size and lenght, this may be a long procedure, especially the converting part. This also can apply to mp3's. You have them on the PC, using Nero find the right wizard or option, it will convert and burn the mp3's to Audio CD format and you now have a playable CD....also, please make note of this, not ALL DVD Players like burned discs....so don't get all put out and think you did it wrong. It may just be your DVD player that doesn't like it. Check the manual that came with it.....cheers and good luck
