Valentine Day Crafts For Kids

So you just get all the Christmas decorations to keep (or maybe not!) And here comes another holiday ... Valentine's Day! Fear not, I some ideas favorable to the large budget for a quick and easy decoration you can use to dress up any room of your house and show all your friends how much you care!

Dress up your everyday meals with heart shaped fabric. Pick up some large sheets of foam, red or pink craft from your craft store and trace and cut a large heart-shaped each with a pair of scissors. Use the gold paint pen and write a word in a romantic sense in the center of each, as the "heart" sweet message from our youth! What memories from your youth do you have about Valentines Day. I remember from grade school we made Valentine mailboxes out of Quaker Oats boxes and decorated them and all the other kids would put those small valentines in them. What were your traditions?

My kids still do the shoebox for school. I always go a step further and make candy sacks for the class and for my child's class that is in special needs ( their is only 7 in each ) because of food restrictions I go to the dollar store and get stuffed animals and things . I make a red velvet cake w/ Dove chocolates and my one son brings it to his teachers to share . The kids love bringing all of these things in !
