Valentine Day Atlanta

Indian Food and Indian restaurants are common in many parts of the world, but in the pocket of the world seem to be few and far between. I realized that many Americans are not may be accustomed to Indian food, what to order in an Indian restaurant or the proper way to eat food Indian. Since I grew up eating Indian food is natural tears me make naan and delicious curry. That's why I wanted to put on up a short article describing some common dishes in India and what they want to order in an Indian restaurant. I hope this encourages you to give Indian food a try.
More than likely, you will begin poppadoms free. They are like biscuits very thin, but much larger. Usually, there are 3 sauces or chutneys that go with poppadoms, a green sauce made with cilantro lime that is slightly spicy, dark brown sauce is very soft (save for later, will tell you why in a moment), and mango chutney is very good, but very warm.
Appetizers:
More than likely you'll see in samosas for an appetizer menu of Indian restaurants. It is a safe option, as provided they are full of flavor but not spicy. They are triangular fried potatoes, peas and other vegetables. The chutney brown sweet "I told you to go stand for less.
Entrees:
Tandoori: Tandoori is always a safe option. This is not a dish is hot and spicy at all. No heavy sauce for it either. It is simply cooked in a clay oven called Tandoori, hence the name. Not frightened by the color. You will leave with a red color, especially if you order the chicken. It seems a bit odd, but tasty.
Biryani (pronounced beer-and-ani) Think of Biryani that the Indian version of Chinese fried rice. It is rice with vegetables (usually as wine) with your choice of meat. Lamb Biryani is very good. It's really good with any meat. Probably recommend it as shrimp biryani. Encore once this is another safe option, it will not be a spicy dish.
Curry: It's basically a thick sauce, full of cumin, garlic, tamarind and many other savory spices with the warmth of your order. Curry is by far the most popular dish in India. I love it with beef, lamb, chicken or shrimp.
Masala: This is a creamy tomato sauce is very tasty. Usually, not too spicy, but you should ask to be sure. One of my favorite Indian restaurant is Chicken Tikka Masala. As a matter of fact, I read somewhere that Chicken Tikka Masala is the number one most ordered dish in England. Having a large indigenous population, the Indian restaurants seem to indicate a across England. In fact, Indian food is everything you ever wanted to eat when I go to England.
Vindaloo: (Vind Delivered aloo) HOT HOT HOT! This is one of the best dishes you can order. Again, is made with various spices such as curry, but it's really hot. It's so heat, in fact I am not able to eat and enjoy. To my palette, pepper dominates any other flavor and I can not receive dishes. WARNING: This dish is not an Indian food virgin.
Typical of these dishes come with basmati rice (white, Indian). But they are missing, if not for some delicious Nann (pancake bread) to eat with the curry. Part of the experience of eating Indian food using their hands to absorb the sauce with the naan.
Although there are several types of naan, I recommend Nann start with something simple friction, or garlic. You usually get 2 rooms which is nice enough for 1 person. You may want to consider 2 orders for 2 people and there are still between they are great for breakfast in the morning.
Indian restaurants often do not have any vegetable dish with the poles. It is probably because many Indians are vegetarians, vegetable dishes are a main meal for themselves. Indian curry sauces tend to have very and rich, with rice and naan to fill quickly. But if you feel the need to recommend something with a vegetable aloo (potatoes) or Baigon (eggplant).
For drinks, beers in the country is doing well with Indian food. Usually enjoy a meal with the Taj Mahal. If the beer is not your thing, then I recommend trying a Mango Lassi. It is a sweet, fruity drink is like having a milkshake with your meal.
If you are still able to eat dessert after dinner filling Kulfi is a good option. It is India Ice Cream, which is generally available in several flavors, two common mango and pistachio be.
Well, there you have it! This should give you enough information to feel sufficiently confident to give Indian food a try.
ok I'm at the station and central Atlantic. Which is better and why?
My husband and I are going to Atlanta on Friday, Valentine's Day. Ive upset the whole world to know where to go and what to do. Care really appreciate the replies everyone! I reduced the Midtown station and the Atlantic. what would be best to go? want a nice hotel with a balcony and perhaps a large tub for 2. want to go to a decent restaurant. we would like ending the night in a nice place for drinks not too intelligent. I would be able to walk to where we go. (places where sidewalks Near the hotel). Not luxury, but people have some money and I want to spend a pleasant evening together. (We do not get to see the other, but every 2 weeks for 2 days.). thank yall so so much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I stayed at the place SEXY @ Twelve Hotel Atlantic Station. Atlantic Station is an area in Midtown, not a separate domain. As I said in one of your other questions: Atlantic Station is a new elegant yuppies and celebrities in a NY style attraction of business and bars. near Avenue Crescent station where the Opera Club and Leopard Lounge are. but you can walk and play in Atlantic Station Enuf only without taking a taxi to the club dance pop.
