At school, why not use the names of other students?

When I was in school for St. Valentin gave our parents a list of names of students write on the cards on Valentine's Day. I was expecting the same thing because my son is now in kindergarten. Instead I get a prompt to enter the child in so many words and a girl in a lot of cards with my name each child. Why things are so much inpersonal? The same was done for classroom activities and other

Probably because that children are cruel and deliberately leave out some children each year, even when their parents had written letters to everyone. Always People want to see a kid get dozens of cards, while you get one or two. Valentine's Day is about for everyone aspires not already in a relationship anyway, why make it worse? Even at that age.
