Each year, the task of writing a letter to accompany your Christmas card may seem like a task rather than joy.

Do you struggle each year to find a creative way to read and easy to share our family news from the previous year with distant friends and the family?

Instead of delaying the drafting of your letter of this event, here are our 5 tips for making your Christmas letter writing easier and more enjoyable for his readers: --

  1. Introduction - Create an animated introduction, but short term not more than two lines. An example might be "It was an interesting year, if unpredictable year for the entire Carter family this year. I Can not say we enjoyed every moment, but it's certainly been an adventure! "
  2. Include photos and / or Clip Art - If you have a photo taken during the year, including this, preferably printed in color. Otherwise, add a few holiday clipart to simple enliven the text. Probably not necessary to buy special paper Christmas card available in some stores. You can create your own software, as Microsoft Word, using the tool of page border (Format / Borders and Shading / Page Border / Art) to create imaginative and festive borders.
  3. Include Family News - Add a sentence or two of each family member - one of something amusing I did this year and one of his finest achievements. It is an ideal way to involve your children and can be a simple introduction and useful for them art of writing letters. For younger family members, do not forget to add your news too.
  4. Use your own samples from relatives and friends Creative - Keep your newsletters sent by other users of the previous year? If so, remove them and have a quick read and see what they like, what I care and use of some of these ideas for their own writing. Find something that is in the style he likes to write and who can help you find your own "voice" in his letter that reflects their own personality and style.
  5. Be brief - just over 500 words is not a letter, is a test! With dozens of letters and card through the letterbox at busy times, people simply do not have time to read long letters. Give a brief and succinct - use even bullets or paragraphs short, a maximum of 5 lines each. Everyone will appreciate your kindness to keep it short!

One of the easiest ways to simplify matters are yet to send a traditional Christmas poem or reading, with one or two lines for each new member Family - ideal if you're short of time and patience on vacation too.

We hope you enjoy writing and sending Christmas letters this year!
